WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
If you do yoga and have Instagram, congratulations, you might be a millennial. Also, you might have seen people doing yoga on paddleboards out in the water. Ever want to try it yourself? Well, Yoga Lila in Montauk’s got your back, and your paddleboard. While their primary offerings are classes done in their studio in town, they runs SUP yoga on Saturdays during the season, by reservation only. Head to their website or give them a call to book.
If you’re more into traditional yoga practice, we’re right there with you, and these folks run classes throughout the week focused on just that. With classes in Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga, there’s bound to be something that’s up your alley.
Pro tip: if you plan on trying to gram yourself doing SUP yoga, make sure your phone is in a waterproof case, and just as important, make sure that case FLOATS. We’d strongly advise testing all that before you paddle out, or else your yoga’s about to get extremely un-relaxing.
