WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
If you’re looking for a luxurious place to stay out east, stop looking for a Four Seasons (there isn’t one). There is that level of luxury, though. Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton, for one, is capable of delivering it. The “house” actually features accommodations in the form of guestrooms within the main house and a series of four cottages located just steps away. The vibe of the decor is homey chic, with classic touches like wainscoting on the walls and beds that look more like they came out of a high end home catalogue than your standard issue hotel. The area rugs found throughout really tie the spaces in, and you might find yourself wishing that your own house looked more like Topping Rose House.
There’s a complete spa and fitness center, for those of you so inclined, as well, and we’d highly recommend checking out yoga by the pool.
In keeping with the House’s luxury offerings is its restaurant, brought to you by Jean-Georges (yes, that Jean-Georges). The cuisine features high end touches on meat and produce that’s locally sourced. Some of the produce is, in fact, grown on the House’s farm, just on the other side of the property.
Pro tip: take your drinks from the bar on an evening walk through the on-site orchards.
