WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
If you gave a team of genius branding pros the assignment of taking the phrase “Hamptons chic” and turning it into a business concept, we’re pretty sure the result would look a lot like The Maidstone. The boutique hotel, featuring a restaurant and bar, is a gorgeous instant-classic set right in the heart of town.
The interior space itself, decked out in a mix of stylish mid-century, jazzed up colonial and colorful Scandinavian irreverence, is at once an homage to the history of the east end and an understanding of the vibes that make its clientele feel both inspired and reposed at the same time.
The restaurant follows suit, offering classics like pan roasted cornish hen and braised Colorado lamb shank, and more millennial-inspired dishes like a vegetarian macro bowl and sweet potato gnocchi.
Reservations at the hotel tend to book up, so make ’em while you can. And as for the restaurant, it’s prime first date material.
Pro tip: the duck confit crostini are probably the best bar snack on the entire east end.
