Luxurious and storied are two words we’d use to describe this gorgeous inn-style house located in East Quogue, out of which chef Christian Mir serves some of the best French-influenced American cuisine you’ll find anywhere out east. And he should know: Christian worked for years under storied French chef Alain Ducasse in Paris.
In his east end culinary mecca (and yes, it is; people come from all over to dine there), you’ll find French favorites like foie gras terrine and braised rabbit, as well as newer creations like an egg custard with Imperial Siberian caviar and beef tripe prepared in a traditional Roman style. Their wine list has both accessible and aspirational bottles, and skipping dessert would be a huge mistake.
Pro tip: the spiced bar nuts (if you’ve had them, you’re addicted like we are) are available to go.
