WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
For more than a quarter-century, Sen has been serving up some of the best sushi on the east end. They’re not just sushi, though, and they’ll be the first ones to tell you. Do yourself a favor and sample some of their buns. We’re carnivores by nature but even their veggie bun had us salivating.
But moreover, it’s even more than just the food. It’s the saké. Jesse Matsuoka, co-owner and general manager, is a certified saké sommelier, and the only one on Long Island. While he’s helped other restaurants and wine merchants on the east end bring saké to their slate of offerings, it’s his own that really shines as a beacon of the beverage to all who care to explore it (and you should).
Pro tip: do a saké tasting (obviously).
