If you haven’t heard, bright colors are the trend for summer 2021. For women and men, clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories are brightening up for the summer. A combination of vaccine optimism and the resurgence of bright, loud, Y2K-style patterns has left us with summer collections that are fun and playful–as summer fashion should be.
Fashion heavyweights and newbies alike are executing this trend, and it seems like bright colors are here to stay. Rolex, keen to get in on the action, has revamped their seriously iconic Oyster Perpetual range in new sizes and colors, fresh for the summer.
First, let’s talk sizing. The new Oyster Perpetual comes in two sizes, 36mm (perfect for her), and 41mm (great for him). They have eliminated their 39mm size, and redesigned the lugs of the watch slightly, so the bigger size packs a punch without feeling clunkier and bigger. While the size is a nice improvement, it is the colors that have everyone talking. Rolex has dipped the dials in a range of hues perfect for the summer (think bright reds and turquoise blues).
As with all of the steel Rolexes nowadays, you can’t just waltz into your local store or authorized dealer and grab a Rolex Oyster Perpetual, summer color dial or not, right off the shelf. While you can scoop some up online, prices are inflated, so we’d recommend going to your local dealer and putting yourself on the waitlist. A little begging wouldn’t hurt either.
