WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
For those of you who know, you know. For those of you who don’t, let us tell you about one of the main drivers behind the Montauk we know today: Gurney’s.
One of the best resorts on the east end, and maybe the country, Gurney’s offers basically anything you might need to have a great weekend out east.
For a quick coffee, there’s OG Coffee & Juice, a full service espresso bar and cafe that rivals anything you’d find in the city. For breakfast and lunch, you’ve got Tillie’s, a comfort food-focused American bistro. Tillie’s also serves dinner, but there’s also Scarpetta Beach for that. You might recognize the name from scanning for Italian food in Manhattan, and those folks have a location at Gurney’s to do their thing out east. For drinks, don’t miss the Regent Cocktail Club, because mixology isn’t just for the 212. And of course, if you’re living the high life, you can stay at the resort itself. There’s also a spa that rounds out the full service offerings at Gurney’s, and their gym is a great place to catch a workout.
Bottom line, this place sets the standard by which other resorts out east are measured. Go see what all the hype is about.
Pro tip: keep an eye out for concerts and events popping up at Gurney’s throughout the season.
