OUR COMMITMENT TO PROMOTING SUSTAINABILITY

We started the blue/green blog–a subsection of our Features coverage–because we felt it particularly important to highlight environmentally-conscious companies, brands, products and services within our focus area of luxury and high-end.

Why?

For one, there’s all the obvious reasons (e.g., we need a planet to live on, etc.). But, let’s go a little deeper than that…

Being from and covering the Hamptons, we sit at the intersection of two worlds: one, a world of wealth, where expense is rarely spared in the pursuit of luxurious excellence; and the other, a world of beach culture, where the ocean’s bounties fill both our plates and our hearts.

While we regularly write about a broad spectrum of companies, brands, products and services representing the loftiest heights of consumer culture, we’ve now created a new platform specifically dedicated to covering what we call “sustainable luxury.”

Whether it’s a garment made of recycled plastic bottles, or upcycled fabrics finding their way into new tailoring, on blue/green, it’s got space to breathe. The individuals and companies creating sustainable luxury have to work twice as hard to execute their visions, and we’re proud to offer them a separate space on Dune Road Lifestyle to highlight and celebrate their greatest accomplishments.

We hope for blue/green to be an educative read. We’ll try to include as much science as we can. We’ll do our best to explain how complicated recycling and upcycling processes work in the manufacture of sustainable consumer goods. But at the end of the day, what you can most clearly expect from blue/green is what you’ve come to expect from Dune Road Lifestyle throughout: highly selective and curated coverage of only the best in the world of luxury and high-end.

You’re going to love it, and you’ll feel good about it. We can’t wait.

Dune Road Lifestyle was founded to bring you the best of the Hamptons: all killer, no filler.
