We’ve had a lot of questions about our editorial direction, our views generally, and our strategy around content. While you won’t find a well-built PowerPoint deck detailing our full editorial 360º here, we figured we might as well let you know what’s up with what we choose for our features and why.
The first and foremost thing is fun. If we’re not having fun researching something, or writing about it, it’s not going to make for writing that’s fun for you guys to read. Capiche?
Unless you’re really awful at typing in URLs, you probably didn’t intend to get to CNN or MSNBC when you surfed over to Dune Road Lifestyle. Those guys do an important and necessary job, serving as the nation’s Fourth Estate and playing an instrumental role in safeguarding our liberties.
The only thing you should trust us to safeguard is your kale smoothie. Not a chance in hell we’re taking a sip of that. With our Features, as with the rest of our site, we’re here to serve you on your off hours, when you’re looking to de-stress from the terrors of the world and enjoy some luxurious r&r.
You’ll find cool new fashion in our Features. You’ll find new restaurants. You’ll find Features about places to go, things to see, stuff to do, and so much more.
The info you need to stay alive is elsewhere. The info you need to build a life worth living is here.

Dune Road Lifestyle was founded to bring you the best of the Hamptons: all killer, no filler. We take a minimalist, details-focused approach to product, travel and lifestyle journalism that most sites, well, don’t. We don’t bombard you with a million ads and pop-ups. We don’t invade your e-mail. We want our site to be like the Hamptons itself: easy, refreshing, and chic.
