The Carbone Hamptons pop-up just opened and we can’t be more here for it.

The reigning champs of the NYC Italian food scene have packed up and headed east for the summer, as NYC’s dining scene continues to languish under COVID-related restrictions. The red sauce triumvirate of Jeff Zalaznick, Rich Torrisi and Mario Carbone had enough, we suspect, of the chaos and insanity that engulfed their small stretch of Thompson Street back in March, and promptly took their show on the road. That road, specifically, was Montauk Highway.

Settled now on West Elm Street in Southampton, the Carbone Hamptons pop-up is now open for curbside pick-up service of their full NYC menu. The Veal Parm, if you were wondering, is most definitely on it, as are a rotating menu of specials and other delights. If you ask us, the Caprese is the best way to start, then on to Orecchiette Gricia, followed up by–you guessed it–the Veal Parm, and a slice of the Lemon Cheesecake to wind it down.

You can order online here, up to 7 days in advance. And while it might not be the abject chaos that Thompson Street saw back in March, we’d expect there to be a line at pick-up at the Carbone Hamptons pop-up. So, bring your mask…and maybe a book.

It’s worth it anyway, but if you’ve ever eaten at Carbone before, you already know.
