WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Bistro Ete is as much a restaurant as it is an opportunity: an opportunity to eat world-class cuisine, at a price-point that is far from the NYC markup, in a setting that is pretty, well, chill. Chef / owner Arie Pavlou is Cordon Bleu-trained–having cut his teeth in some of the best kitchens in Paris–and has brought all that to the east end.
Best use case for Bistro Ete? A dinner date you and a special someone were supposed to have in the city, but you guys are out east every weekend all summer.
The menu is decidedly French but with a Mediterranean flair. The duck wing confit is basically a must, and honestly, just try the escargot. We know, it’s snails, but it’s also…delicious.
Pro tip: This place has something called “foie gras Fridays,” a/k/a/ “TGIF” in French.
