WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
There’s a ton of places to dine by the sunset out east, but Beacon in Sag Harbor is one of the best among them. A sister restaurant to Bell & Anchor and Fresno, Beacon takes the idea of “Refined New American” further up a notch, with plating and execution to rival restos in NYC and beyond.
For us, it’s the Shrimp Tacos to start, no question. The “tomato emulsion” is something behold and, well, taste…hold. If you’re looking for a more filling starter, the Pork Belly Pretzel Buns are deliciously devastating. Moving on to dinner, you can’t miss with the Bouillabaisse, unless you try to spell it after a few glasses of rosé. Again, though, Beacon satisfies us even at our hungriest, and when we’re famished, it’s the Lobster Rigatoni for sure.
Pro tip: call a few days in advance for a “Sunset Dinner” res.
