Argento will never replace Silver’s, the legendary Southampton eatery which occupied the same space for almost a century. It isn’t trying to, and frankly, it shouldn’t. Instead, the expert culinary and hospitality team behind Hamptons fave Dopo La Spiaggia is coming to you with a new concept set to broaden carnivore horizons in Southampton.
Now, you might say, another Italian joint? It seems sometimes like the Hamptons can’t get enough of ’em. But Argento is a little different from the usual ladles of red sauce you’ve come to expect from typical restaurants of the sort. We’d recommend–when it’s available on special–the Pappardelle with Filet Mignon and Calabrian Chilis. See? Something you might not have seen before. And steaks, at an Italian joint? Don’t sleep on their Prime Aged NY Strip.
Pro tip: the Cacio e Pepe (the true measure of any Italian restaurant.)
