We dive deep on this one to explore the role of black artists in EDM both today, and from the very start. If you don’t already know, we’d suggest reading this article by our very own Morgan Goldsmith on the interconnection between black history and the history of EDM.

While you might not hear about too many black artists in EDM today (read: the scene is a little whitewashed…) there’s a ton of black artists out there doing their thing in the mix. From hip-hoppy remixes from DJ Envy and DJ Sliink to the bouncy dance phenomenon known as “Jersey Club” (cuts from DJ LILMAN, Kyle Edwards, and others), we cover it all here on this one.
